CAMA 2020 - One Year On: Implementation, Impact and Challenges

The CAMA 2020 was designed to create an enabling environment for MSMEs in Nigeria to thrive and encourage a cheaper and easier process to set up, run and wind-up companies, by removing several procedural requirements that could complicate both the setting up of a company and its operation.
One year after its commencement, an evaluation of the implementation challenges as well as its impact on MSMEs and the Nigerian economy is apt. This will aid in proffering solutions and highlight areas that may still require regulatory measures to further strengthen MSMEs growth and development in Nigeria. It will in turn strengthen
Without a doubt, Nigeria’s MSMEs hold the key to transforming Nigeria’s economy and securing our future, which is the focus of the 27thNigerian Economic Summit scheduled to hold on October 25 -26, 2021 with the theme: Securing Our Future: The Fierce Urgency of Now.
It is against this background that NASSBER will convene this Pre-Summit event to discuss the implementation, impact and challenges of CAMA 2020, one year after its operationalization.
