CAMA 2020 - One Year On: Implementation, Impact and Challenges
The CAMA 2020 was designed to create an enabling environment for MSMEs in Nigeria to thrive and encourage a cheaper and easier process to set up, run and wind-up companies, by removing several procedural requirements that could complicate both the setting up of a company and its operation.
One year after its commencement, an evaluation of the implementation challenges as well as its impact on MSMEs and the Nigerian economy is apt. Without a doubt, Nigeria’s MSMEs hold the key to transforming Nigeria’s economy and securing our future, which is the focus of the 27thNigerian Economic Summit scheduled to hold on October 25 -26, 2021 with the theme: Securing Our Future: The Fierce Urgency of Now.
