ABOUT DR MAY, THE MENTAL HEALTH PHYSICIAN, ADVOCATE & COACH

Dr. Maymunah Yusuf Kadiri (Dr. May), widely known as “The Celebrity Shrink,” is an award-winning mental health physician, advocate, and coach with nearly two decades of experience in psychiatry. She serves as the Medical Director and Psychiatrist-in-Chief at Pinnacle Medical Services, a leading mental health center in Nigeria renowned for innovative approaches to psychological care.

A Fellow of the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria and a certified Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapist from Albert Ellis Institute, New York, Dr. Kadiri also holds a Master’s in Digital Healthcare from the Universitat de Barcelona. Her expertise spans trauma counseling, neurofeedback, and psychotherapeutic techniques, positioning her as a sought-after psychiatrist both locally and globally.

Dr. Kadiri is a passionate advocate for mental health literacy, founding Pinnacle Health Radio, Africa’s premier online health radio, and the nonprofit Pinnacle Medicals SPEAKOUT Initiative, which promotes mental health awareness.

As a prolific author and public speaker, Dr. Kadiri has written the bestselling book Deep Expression and convened The Mental Health Conference (TMHC), a premier platform for advocacy and education. Her entrepreneurial efforts include pioneering Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) in Nigeria and driving mental health technology solutions.

Dr. Kadiri’s leadership extends to schools and workplaces, where she champions programs addressing adolescent mental health, employee productivity, and workplace conflict. Her contributions have earned her global affiliations with organizations such as the American Psychiatric Association and the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research.

When not advancing mental health initiatives, Dr. Kadiri enjoys travel, innovation, and fashion. Married with three children, she continues to impact lives through her unwavering commitment to breaking mental health stigma and fostering well-being worldwide.
