NESG VOLUNTEER TOWN HALL MEETING

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group’s Think Tank team in line with the board directives of a change management process, worked to restructure the 12-policy commissions that the NESG has to a reduced number of 6 to improve efficiency & smoother policy impact. 

Following the recent restructuring, the Think Tank Team conducted a change management survey. A critical element of the results of the survey borders on the communication approach and pattern of the Think Tank team in informing the volunteers of the survey hence the need to conduct a Townhall to bridge the communication gap and set up an avenue for dialogue, understanding and resolving unspoken questions that the volunteer community might have. 

• Communication: The Townhall provides an avenue for the TT Ops team to clearly explain in detail the rationale behind the restructuring and the expectations of each Policy commission. 

• Alignment: The Town Hall seeks to ensure alignment with the expectations of the NESG and the volunteer community vis-a-vis their respective policy commission mandates. 

• Engagement: The Town Hall provides an opportunity to further engage members of the volunteering network of the NESG.
