National Focus Group Forum on The Culture Sector in Nigeria

The Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy and the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) in partnership with UNESCO, is organising this session to provide a platform for dialogue ,sector update, and collaboration among diverse STAKEHOLDERS IN THE  cultural sector ecosystem/value chain, especially as the culture sector is transforming into an economic sector that contributes to national GDP. Additionally, by promoting Nigerian culture and cultural exchange, the Forum shall explore means of contributing to social harmony, culture preservation, and peace building.

The Focus Group Forum aims to achieve key outcomes, including policy formulation and implementation, technological innovation, cultural infrastructure development, capacity building, and international engagement. It also seeks to promote cultural diversity, drive economic growth, reshape perceptions of the cultural sector as a business driver, and aggregate stakeholder input for optimising the cultural sector governance framework, for Nigeria, including the finalisation of a new National Cultural Policy for the country.
