NESG Holds its 2021 Annual General Meeting, Appoints New Board Directors.

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) held its 2021 Annual General Meeting on the 13th of April 2021. The chairman of the Board of Directors of the NESG, Mr Asue Ighodalo, while welcoming all Board Directors and Members to the 2021 Annual General Meeting, expressed his appreciation to everyone for their commitment in the national interest and charged members to remain steadfast, innovative and resilient in these challenging times.

The members present physically and virtually included: Mr Niyi Yusuf, Vice-chair, NESG; Mr. ‘Laoye Jaiyeola, CEO, NESG; Mr Foluso Philips, Former Chairman, NESG; Mr Faysal El-Khalil, Chairman, 7up Bottling Company; Dr Doyin Salami, Chairman Presidential Economic Advisory Committee; Mrs Juliet Ehimuan, Country Manager, Google Nigeria; Mrs Wonu Adetayo; Mr Yinka Sani, CEO, Stanbic IBTC; Mr Udeme Ufot, CEO, SO&U; Mr Frank Aigbogun, Publisher, Businessday and Mr Tony Attah, CEO NLNG.

Furthermore, the NESG announced the appointment of several new members to its board. The newly appointed board members are Ndidi Nwuneli, Managing Partner, Sahel Consulting Agriculture & Nutrition Ltd and Founder, Leap Africa; Ms Amina Maina – Group CEO, MRS Holdings ltd; and Mr Mike Sangster, Chief Executive Officer, Total E & P Limited. Mr. Kyari Bukar Managing Partner, Tran-Sahara Investment Corporation, returns to the board.

Other newly appointed board members Mr Omoboyede Olusanya, CEO Flour Mills Nigeria PLC; Wassim El-Husseini, MD/CEO, Nestlé Nigeria PLC; Karl Olutokun Toriola, CEO MTN Nigeria; Mr Nnanna Ude, Managing Partner, Agon Continental Ltd and Mr Lanre Akinbo Managing Partner, Managing Director of Wizer Resource & Advisory Limited and Wizer Consulting Services LLP.
