NESG Announces Winners of the 25th NES Essay Writing Competition

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) in partnership with the National Universities commission (NUC) announced and awarded prizes to the top three winners of the 25th Nigerian Economic Summit (NES25) Essay writing competition at the 25th Nigerian Economic Summit which held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja on the 7th and 8th October, 2019. The theme of the Essay competition is " Enhancing Confidence in Nigeria for Nation Building: Towards Economic Success and Improved Quality of Life for Nigerians".

Three hundred and eighty-three (383) essay entries were received and at the end of the review process, three top winners emerged. In no particular order, the winners of the 25th NES Essay competition are:

Oladipupo Ogundare

Oladipupo Ogundare is a 300 Level accounting student of Babcock University

Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State. His educational aspiration includes acquiring a bachelor’s degree in Accounting that would assist him in pursuing a master’s degree in International Business. His interest in international business stems from his desire to understand the global market and business. He wants to explore the possibility of pursuing a career as an international management consultant and he’s committed to working hard and achieving his dreams and aspirations.

Ikponmwosa Kingsley Osamede

Ikponmwosa Kingsley Osamede is a 22-year-old, 400 Level Medicine and Surgery student of the University of Benin, Benin City Edo State. Although a medical student, Kingsley is very passionate about writing especially when it has to do with expressing his thoughts on ways to make Nigeria better. His strengths are paying attention to details and an ability to express himself eloquently and effectively in speech and writing. He strongly believes that the pen is mightier than the sword and he would cherish the opportunity to learn from experts in the economic and business world.

Damilola Oguntade

Damilola Oguntade is currently a 500 Level Law Student at the University of Lagos, Lagos State Nigeria. He has a drive for excellence in Life and passion for Sustainable Development Leadership. With an undying love for public speaking, poetry, music and Arts, Damilola professes strong interest in Policy making and believes in a New Agenda setting for Nigeria and Africa. Among other achievements, he participated and won an Outstanding Position Paper Award at the National Model United Nations Conference in Washington DC.
