NESG 2025 Policy Leaders Retreat

The management of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), in line with its usual practice, convened the leaders of the various public-private dialogue platforms at the NESG at a 3-day leadership retreat from Friday, 31st January to Sunday, 2nd February 2025, to provide a timely platform for reflection, collaboration, and future planning amongst all critical stakeholders. The retreat had in attendance facilitators, thematic leaders and Anchors of NESG PPD platforms, Heads of Departments/Unit Heads at the NESG and the Think Tank Operations Staff.  

At the retreat, policy leaders reflected on the past 30 years of the Nigerian economy, the NESG’s impact and lessons learnt, and deliberated on initiatives for charting a future path to address Nigeria’s socio-economic challenges and shaping reform priorities for 2025 and beyond. Also, in preparation for the 31st Nigerian Economic Summit (NES #31), the Technical Sub-Committee (TSC) for the Summit engaged policy leaders in articulating a reform agenda for the Summit.
