Head, Strategic Communications & Advocacy
Ayanyinka Abike Ayanlowo is a strategic communications and public affairs professional with over a decade of experience shaping narratives, building institutional credibility, and driving impact across corporate, public policy, and development sectors in Nigeria and beyond.
She currently serves as Acting Head, Strategic Communications & Advocacy at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), where she leads the design and execution of high-level communications and advocacy strategies that support economic reform, policy engagement, and national development discourse. Her work spans strategic messaging, reputation and perception management, media relations, and issue-based communications targeted at influencing policy, public opinion, and stakeholder action.
Ayanyinka has held leadership roles in brand and communications at organisations including Rainoil Limited, British American Tobacco, and Keystone Bank, where she delivered integrated internal and external communications, employee engagement initiatives, CSR programmes, and crisis response strategies. Her experience cuts across highly regulated and complex environments, equipping her with a nuanced understanding of stakeholder management and institutional storytelling.
She holds an MSc (Distinction) in Corporate Communications and Public Affairs from Robert Gordon University, United Kingdom, and a BSc in Sociology from the University of Lagos. An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ayanyinka is passionate about purposeful storytelling, community engagement, and using communications as a tool for sustainable impact.
