The Real Sector Policy Commission (RSPC) comprises of both public and private sector members bestowed with the core duty to analyze and determine priorities of real sector recommendations at NES and other policy dialogues. Like other policy commissions, the RSPC aims to achieve its set objectives by meeting from time to time to discuss specific issues in related core areas of manufacturing, solid mineral development, transportation & logistics, and THECS (Tourism/Hospitality/Entertainment/Creative Industries/Sports as a Business)

The aim is to forestall future crises by improving market transparency, improving corporate governance across all sub-sectors of the real sector as well as better protecting consumers/citizens at large.

This thematic group as the name implies consists of industry experts that are directly or indirectly involved in the manufacturing and processing of items as well as indulge in either creation of new commodities or in value addition. The manufacturing industry accounts for a significant share of the industrial sector in Nigeria.

This thematic groups consists of group of individuals that are active players in industries which have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent and which have a potential for wealth and job creation through the generation and exploitation of intellectual property.

This is a small group of Supply Chain Management Professionals, that are involved in the day to day business of logistics process of planning, implementing and controlling procedures for the efficient and effective transportation and storage of goods including services and related information.

PROJECT ONE:

Draft framework for government to provide incentives (tax rebates) to Nigerian Manufacturers to make backward integration a viable for SME’s and ensure growth of local inputs.

PROJECT TWO:

Clarify policies on foreign exchange access and open alternative windows for other players – multinational imports, local exports.

PROJECT THREE:

Define Regulatory framework to facilitate exports (tax incentives etc.)– credits that are not usable, efficiency of the ports needs to be aggressively addressed to reduce impact on cost of doing business.
